Introduction to Fly Fishing Class

$175 per person – 3 hour class

Join us for an introductory class designed to teach you all the basics of fly fishing including intro to gear, fly casting, fly selection, knot tying, and entomology pertaining to fly fishing for a 3 hour time frame. We will start the class off with casting and end with time on the water applying the skills we have learned throughout the morning!

This is a great place to start your journey of becoming an independent angler while building community with others who are on the same path.

This class has a limited number of slots because we want everyone to have the best experience possible with hands-on instruction at all times.

We will provide all gear, including snacks & water. Lunch is not provided.

 

Kid's Exploratory Fly Fishing Class

$125 per person – 3 hour class

For kids ages 5 to 12.

Join us for an exploratory fly fishing class designed to teach your little ones the most exciting basics of fly fishing in this interactive 3 hour class. This is a great place to start your child’s journey of becoming a fly angler while having fun on the water.

We will teach one basic knot, seine the creek for aquatic insects & identify them, practice casting on the water, learn how to properly fight & land a fish, and how to safely handle & release them.

We will provide all gear, including snacks & water. Parents must transport their own children to and from the water. Parents are welcome to stay. Lunch is not provided.

Guided Bird Walk

$50 per person – 3 hour walk

Begins at 9AM to 12PM. Lunch not provided.
Check in begins at 8:30AM.

15 people max.

Join us for a guided bird walk through our private property to see & hear various species of migrating birds. You will walk about 4 miles on a very moderate trail. This is a leisurely bird walk, and not a hike! Suzanne Zuckerman is an expert birder and will be leading you on your walk. You will have the chance to identify a variety of species of birds. Be prepared! – Wear shorts/hiking pants, sturdy hiking/walking shoes, for this gravel and clay road. Bring water or drinks, snack/lunch, sunscreen, bug repellent, hat, bandana for perspiration, personal first-aid kit, binoculars, & rain gear.

Celebrating 70 - Cast & Blast

Cast & Blast Day

February 10th, 2024

$600 per person.

8 people maximum. Reservations required. – FULL

Join us for our cast & blast day! This is the perfect outing for an outdoorsman or woman wanting to experience all of NCF in a day’s work. For this trip you will join other hunters and anglers during your guided experiences. You will arrive at the pro shop at 8AM for your cast and blast experience. Start off the day by getting in 25 sporting clays to warm up for your hunt and then head to the fields with your guide & dogs. You’ll return to the pro shop by noon for lunch and trade in your hunting gear to suit up for fly fishing. Spend the afternoon fishing with your guide in our prolific catch and release trout stream. This offering is rare and one you don’t want to miss out on!

Price does not include guide gratuity.

Join us for some after hours fun! You’ll arrive at the sporting clays course, eat dinner with us, and then head to the 5 stand pavilion for glow in the dark sporting clays games. We will host you for a 5 stand tournament competition. This reservation includes dinner & 50 clays per person.

 

Celebrating 70 - Fishing 'til Dark

April 27th, 2024 – 5PM ‘til Dark

$300 per person.

Have you ever fished ‘til dark? After hours fishing is always fun. We will provide a great creekside meal to start off the evening and send you & your guides on your way to catch all the trophy trout that are gorging before bedtime. You can expect to get around 3.5 hours (maybe 4) of fishing before it’s dark.

May 18th, 2024 – 9AM – 75 minute

$25 per person.

30 people total. Reservations required.

Join local yoga instructor Christie Gribble for an all-levels vinyasa flow class. This yoga class takes place outdoors on the property of Noontootla Creek Farms on a flat, grassy area just with the serenity of the creek in the background. Bring your mat and any props that you normally need. Don’t have a mat and props? That’s okay! Let us know when you call to register. Parking directions will be sent prior to class and if the class has to be canceled due to weather, you will be notified prior. Some yoga experience is preferred but not required. Light snacks and drinks will be served after.

$250 per child.

This class is a more in depth take on our Exploratory Kids Fly Fishing class. In this 6 hour class we will teach basic knots, seine the creek for aquatic insects, identify them and pair them with flies, watch how flies are tied, practice casting on and off the water, learn the steps to rigging your rod, how to properly fight & land a fish, and how to safely handle & release them. We will provide all gear, lunch, snacks, & water. Parents are welcome to stay.

This “Learning to Make a Good Cast” casting class is designed for beginners and intermediate anglers alike. Join FFI Certified Instructor Rene Hesse as he works through the most important steps of making a good cast. This class will remain small to help everyone have the best experience possible and give every participant the attention your cast deserves.

Entomology & Fly Tying Class 

August 17th, 2024 – 5PM to 7:30PM

$125 per person.

Calling all fly tiers! From seasoned pros to novices, this evening is planned for you! We will serve dinner upon arrival, and then dive into the wonders of entomology as we cycle through aquatic insects and how to imitate them. Once we have reviewed bugs, we will begin to tie our own flies to imitate bug patterns. If you are new to tying, no worries, we will walk through this with you step by step. If you have your own tying materials feel free to bring them alone, if not we will provide them for you. Dinner, a beer, a cigar, and materials will be included.

Have you ever wondered what trout are up to at night? It turns out that they keep eating, and they eat big. Join us for some nighttime mousing on the farm. This is designed for experienced anglers only. We will have a creekside dinner & a beer before we head out to check out some holes. As soon as the sun sets, we will get to fishing.

You do not want to miss this! Join us for all the fun all day long on the farm as the Owenby family celebrates 70 years of Noontootla Creek Farms! We will have something for everyone – from pumpkin patches, corn mazes, to casting classes, shotgun demos, and your favorite farm inspired fair food and complete with brews & booze, this day will be a blast! Come celebrate with us!

Celebrating 70 - Field to Table Hunting Experience

Field to Table Hunting Experience 

November 2nd, 2024

$550 per person.

8 hunters total. Reservations required.

Kick off our opening weekend of quail season with a premiere experience. Start your day on the sporting clays course warming up with 25 clays, then head out to the field with your guide. As a special addition to your hunt, we will have some pheasants in your field. Spend the day in the field with the dogs, and bring back your harvest for a wild game dinner cooked in house by our private chef. This 4 course meal will be complete with hors-d’oeuvres, salad, your main course served with your harvested quail, and dessert. This meal will be completed with a signature cocktail.

 $125 per person or $400 for a team of 4.

56 people per flight or 14 teams. Reservation required.

‘Tis the season for giving back. Join us as we raise money for a local organization to help those in need during the Christmas season. May we give to others as Christ has given us eternal life through his Son.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations made 15 days or more will allow for a full refund of the Deposit.

Cancellations made 14 days or less will result in your deposit being forfeited. Your deposit may be used for scheduling a future trip.

No show trips, day of cancellations, or cancellations less than 24 hours before your reservation will be nonrefundable regardless. 

Trips will proceed regardless of weather conditions; however, we reserve the right to cancel any trip (hunting and fishing alike) in the event of unsafe conditions or other circumstances beyond our control. If we cancel your trip, your deposit will be applied to a future date that is mutually acceptable.
